RESIDENCIES Jerome Foundation Emerging Artist Residency at The St. John's Pottery, Collegeville, MN, 2006
A two month residency at The St. John's Pottery at St. John's University. During this time my attention was focused on an intensive period of work and research in utilizing clay as an end medium. The impressive history of surface research; through the wood burning techniques, have contributed to exciting surfaces in medium and large scale sculptural and utilitarian forms. At the Pottery I was able to complete of a body of work that juxtaposed the clay and other sculptural forms. The culmination of this residency was the participation in firing the Johanna Kiln (87'x6'x6' Pacific Rim Designed Kiln).
